This title is so stupid, people wanting kids but not being able to afford them has nothing to do with people who just don’t want kids. Those are two separate groups and the fact that one exists says nothing about the other

Lol the “dark side” of not wanting kids

Idk I seem to be loving all sides of it. I don’t hate kids, I just know that having a child would force me to change my lifestyle and I’m not willing to do that. 🤷🏿‍♂️

I full understand why people do want kids, and I fully understand why people don’t

These kind of articles trying to politicise the issue are creepy, it’s just… personal

A bit oddly sensationalist title. I am childfree, there isn’t much in common with people who can’t have kids because the economy is fucked. The attitudes and respective goals are going to be inherently different.

"Even people who are happy to be childfree sometimes feel left behind or isolated in a culture that still deems parenthood the correct life path. " I wouldn’t say left behind or isolated at all, but there are certainly frustrating elements.

I do appreciate that they do, subtly, make the distinction between couples who are childfree and childless. People miss that one a lot.
