Of course guerilla warfare would be useful, and in addition to that, there may need to be a unique fighting style. What combination of fighting styles would you and your comrades use? For example BJJ and Boxing or Karate and Muay Thai, or maybe ten of the styles combined! :D Feel free to use your imagination! Please explain your options and how each style could be used. Thank you :))

Ah okay that makes sense! Something did tell me that a post like this could get leaked if getting too informational. Thank you for the heads up! :)

99% of the internet isn’t as safe as people think it is. Almost everything gets (filtered) through the 3 letters agencies’. They’re harvesting every bits of data and then using intelligent algorithms to monitor/search efficiently. They already know too much

An organization in open revolt against the government would need to develop its own system. It would need to accommodate the equipment of the average revolutionary fighter (fighting in heavy armor is different than fighting in plain clothes), while also countering the equipment of the government (such as learning to use body armor as a good handhold to grapple a US Army soldier or ways to disarm someone who’s weapon is strapped to them with a three point sling).

The specifics that particular organization chooses to incorporate wouldn’t be able to be discussed over Lemmy. There will be enough leaks from seized manuals and interrogated instructors.

That’s smart! Being able to efficiently move while having extra weight is one of the most important :D

And you’re right, it’s best to not get too much into detail. 😉

I’d heavily support a combination of the most basic and straightforward yet most generally effective martial arts:

BJJ, Muay Thai, Judo, Taekwando, Capoeira, Boxing, Krav Maga, Systema, Sambo, Karate, Kickboxing, MMA, wrestling. A sprinkling of everything.

Just what I was thinking. I’m new to the “Systema” style. What does it consist of?

Guerra de guerrillas with Russian Systema for their training.

The easiest thing to do would be to use free publically available military manuals, combined with specific expertise of whoever you have. Take the US marine hand to hand combat manual (you can find free pdfs online) and combine with expertise of fellow revolutionaries who happen to have some kind of martial arts experience and you’ll have something perfectly adequate.
