Worth noting that Imran Khan’s party was effectively prohibited from competing in the election. Pakistan’s leadership has been fully co-opted by a foreign dictatorship and now they’re pivoting directly into a war with their neighbor in hopes that they can force solidarity with the threat of a scary outside adversary.

If news is to be believed there are rebels/terrorist groups that controle some areas in both Iran and Pakistan. Iran is firing at the Pakistani areas and Pakistan is firing at the Iranian areas. And they are mad at each other for doing it. I can’t yet tell if it is linked with the events happening elsewhere in the area (Palestine and Yemen) or if it’s just a stand alone thing.

Well as of yesterday they are starting talks on normalising their relationship… so it’s good?
