This is news from the past hour.

Back in 2010, a similar lie was reported: https://www.voltairenet.org/article167599.html

According to western MSM DPRK has supposedly fired 200 rounds of artillery shells at a South Korean island (it was west of not at) and in response to SK planning to do the same thing and conducting live fire drills.

KCNA article from before this was reported: https://kcnawatch.org/newstream/1704456345-947024580/confrontation-maniacs-will-suffer-most-painful-moments-kcna-commentary/

On Jan. 2, almost all units of the puppet army were mobilized in the shelling drill and maneuvers of motorized troops in the frontline area. The next day, the puppet navy conducted naval bombardment and naval maneuvers in the whole waters of the East, West and South Seas.

The propaganda is crazy. One of the biggest Dutch news sites (NOS) posted a article where they stated that it violated the 2018 agreement. Only they failed to mention that the south where the first to back out of these (in nov 2023). The political agenda is so blatant, it’s crazy that people don’t notice it.

The NOS article (Noord-Korea schiet op zeegrens, Zuid-Korea reageert met oefening - https://nos.nl/l/2503789)

    Translation:

North Korea fires at sea border, South Korea responds with exercise

North Korea fired artillery near the sea border with South Korea during a military exercise, violating military agreements between the two countries from 2018. No damage has been reported. The South Korean military responded with similar shooting exercises. Residents of Yeonpyeong Island had to take refuge in bomb shelters.

A spokesperson for the South Korean military called the shelling a “provocation that threatens peace and increases tensions on the peninsula.” He said the movements of the North are being closely monitored in cooperation with ally the United States. Tensions

At the western sea border between the Koreas, fights have regularly broken out in the past. In 2010, North Korea last fired artillery directly at Yeonpyeong, killing four South Koreans.

North Korean state media reports that head of state Kim Jong-un has ordered the military to tighten defense and produce more launch vehicles, as the country faces ‘an imminent military confrontation with enemies’.

Last week, Kim already announced that he wants to prepare the country for a “US-instigated confrontation” by investing in nuclear weapons and espionage equipment.
