It’s not even on Twitter. Pay attention to the portion about “at public universities”. They want to be able to discriminate and say slurs to minorities and LGBT members in person like you could a little while ago. They’re mad that doing that now can get you expelled or arrested.
They’re also mad that “”“public”“” universities can’t just get a blank cheque from the government, and then do whatever they want. They don’t want to have to follow the laws and rules that come with that money, “ADA”? Throw those Insert ableist slur out! Equality Act? Insert racial slur, LGBT students? Insert homophobic and transphobic slurs here*.
Ah yes, they’re all being silenced and their voices ignored, except for the one “token” who is allowed to speak on occasion, as long as they agree with the status quo. Imagine how horrible that would be for a group of people!
