    I don’t necessarily want to talk about the USSR tbh. It’s a historical entity now, I’m more focused on the present and future.

    However, when you start to get people into communism, that’s the first thing they ask. The USSR is scaring libs to this day so much that whenever you start talking Marxism, the first question is: “What about X in the USSR?”

    And so against my will I am forced to talk about the USSR. If you wanna go there, I’ll go.

      It would be nice if we could talk about the USSR in terms of successes and failures, as a way of learning from the past. Instead it seems that it is always about debunking myths and horror stories the whole time.
