It’s thematically good, and they’re fun to watch, even with acting problems and special effects that are dated today, the bad thing is the negative reaction from the fandom it had and the actors who suffered with the public.
This can be said too about the original trilogy, and most films before the 2000s, the special effects back then where very primitive, and the acting was mostly amateur, because it was not everyone who could hire professional actors. The diference between the original and the prequels is that it was suposed to be that way, the acting was supposed to represent the characters, and the special effects of the prequels where amazing for its time, specially the AotC and TRotS. Most 3D special effects the industry today was pionered by the prequels, they invested hard on the most advanced tech of the time, and honestly it looks much more alive then most big bucks disney films nowadays.
Personally i think its the best trilogy, sorry if i sounded i little to heated up there.
