Biden must be seething, he’s been trying to meet with Xi for a while now. Also, China choosing to meet with Newsom seems to indicate that they’re willing to work with him which is an implicit endorsement of him as a candidate over Biden. Seeing that Newsom went to China, I’m guessing there’s a faction in the dem party that would like to improve relations with China, and wants to push Biden out.

There definitely is a faction in the Democratic Party that wants good relations with China. Good relations equal more money in the long run, it’s stupid to turn China into the boogeyman for money makers. Plus California is essentially the economy of Germany so it makes sense.

For sure, US having good relations with China is the only sane way forward. Hopefully sanity prevails in the end.

Also, it looks like a similar strategy to US heads of state meeting with representatives of Taiwan.

I like this kind of diplomacy, from China. It’s flipping the logic completely. Very fun to watch.

It’s gonna be a really interesting if we start seeing internal divisions on the approach to China from different states.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to see the same level of cultural warfare as Hollywood and the funding levels of right wing media, coming from China, in strategic places?

I mean. Prole wiki would finally getting the funding it deserves. Hahahahaha
