Just seeing the word Starbucks sets me off
Starbucks of “we used our influence over the coffee industry to strong arm and threaten the fair trade foundation into massively watering down the ethics requirements for fair trade coffee” fame.
All the bourgeois whining about losing profit due to lockdowns aside, the covid situation in China seems pretty dire right now? I hadn’t really heard much about it, but it makes me worry. Anyone have any reliable information on how they’re handling it, what the trajectory is? Obv not gonna trust this study that the NYT article referenced claiming 1.6 million will die by summer (as if China would let more people die than the fucking US)
