I don’t know much about Israel or Gaza, but from a logical point of view, Hamas killing residents and people at a concert, by default, makes them disgusting animals, and terrorists.

If you don’t know much about the history, I would suggest you do a lot of research before jumping to conclusions on current events. Otherwise you would be making arguments based on faulty premises.

As an example, you said “Hamas killing residents”. They aren’t residents, they are occupiers. Nor were they the primary target anyway. By international law, the things an occupied body is allowed to do to resist their occupiers is fairly extensive. I would also argue that having a party immediately outside the concentration camp you are keeping people makes you a disgusting animal (and an idiot besides).

You can’t just say “logically X” without knowing any of the conditions that lead to the situation as it exists now.

Any nation would have to fight back against such an evil attack.

That is what the Palestinian people are doing. Take into account that for the vast majority of the Palestinian people they were born and raised in those concentration camps. We have no right to judge what they do to break free. In all honesty, if I had been kept in a concentration camp my entire life only to break out and see a bunch of my jailers having a party, I would probably do worse.

I don’t understand your point of view about supporting fascists

Israel are colonizers and fascists. Considering they have mandatory military service, none of them (save those too young to know better and leave) are particularly innocent of that. Spouting their talking points is, at best, tacit support of fascism.

It is a nationalistic pro-Israel movement that believes that Israel has claims/owns the land that belongs to Palestine. It could be further broken down into just believing that a Jewish state should exist, but it tends to be more closely related to the Israel we know of today. The movement is fundamentally rooted in the subjugation we see of the Palestinian people today.

Israel likes to try to conflate zionism with being Jewish in general, so that they can handwave away any opposition as being antisemitic and racist. However, notably many Jewish people are themselves not Zionists. Many have been outspoken in support of Palestine in fact. Zionism has nothing really to do with racial identity.

Massacring people ‘for their opinions’ existed for centuries before Fascism and was visible in, for example, the United States in the 1780s. Likewise, while some Fascists (e.g. the Squadristas) preferred lethal force, others were content to imprison their enemies on islands, in concentration camps, or elsewhat, before letting them go. It is important to note that like neoliberals, the Fascists distinguished between acceptable and unacceptable dissent. Just a few days ago I shared a document demonstrating how the Third Reich allowed Zionist organizations, even if they were critical of the Reich.

Fascism was the form that capital had to assume due to its own deficiencies, namely the concessions to the proletariat. Quashing dissent was not the heart of Fascism; it was petty bourgeois anticommunism.
