Does anybody have sources giving numbers and stats on the consequences the collapse of the Soviet Union had for the people living there? Like poverty rates, economic stagnation, percentages etc

It practically gave us a unipolar world for a couple of decades. Within Russia you saw a huge rise of foreign NGOs and oligarchs expropriating the wealth of that country. Read Parenti (specifically blackshirts and reds). He talks about all the sh*t including starvation, child prostitution and violence caused.

Then the US is globally emboldened to be the menace it is without anyone keeping it in line. An increase in invasions and other operations. Less hope of an alternative to neoliberal capitalist domination.

The WWP (World Workers Party has some resources on this subject). Basically this time period is a big boon for neoliberalism across the world. I’ll tell you when I find more books and resources.
