    Yeah… BRICS is going nowhere. They’re geographically dispersed, economically not integrated (nor are they moving towards that), and ideologically all over the place.

    This entire endeavour is just a really expensive way of saying that there are countries in the global south don’t like the current western led world order.

      How could you say they aren’t moving towards economic integration when bilateral trade between member nations has increased significantly in the past decade ? That’s not even to mention the increasing amount of trade being settled in local currencies and the creation of the NDB in 2014.

      Brazil and China signed an accord 4 months ago to start using reais and yuan for trade instead of the US dollar. Two days ago Lula said his government is studying the possibility of using yuan to trade with Argentina.
