Can you say “China #1”?
“WeLL oBvIoUsLy ThEy’Re tRyInG tO tRaP DeVeLoPiNg cOuNtRiEs iN dEbT”
Well they’re not doing it for free. Either they are trading vaccines for influence, or some asset. Or they are building a dependency. Or there is some other pragmatic reason.
France and other powers are don’t the same. It’s strategy, not altruism.
Well, China has a history of outright forgiving debt on developing countries, especially in times of global crisis.
Really? I just don’t believe a global power would forgive debt for no reason, unless in exchange for some valuable asset or favour. Can you give an example?

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2019/05/29/china-has-forgiven-nearly-10-billion-in-debt-cuba-accounts-for-over-half/ (actually a super unprofessional article that makes offhand comments about other countries, but gets the main point across)
And no real evidence of ulterior motives presented by these articles other than speculation (read: guesses, mostly by people who are anti-China)
Actually, the article doesn’t make the 10m sound very impressive since they also wrote that Pfizer and AstraZeneca would supply 40m and 150m respectively to this COVAX initiative.
If I say china number 1 can I get some money?
