    My mother unironically told me this

    Note I don’t really argue with her anymore, she’s far, far, too long gone. (She’s MtF trans but also an anti-“groomer” psycho… don’t ask) I just ask probing questions/statements which is why I didn’t go off on her

      You should mention to her that the amount of wealth loss by slavery, segregation, Jim Crow laws and systematic racism, have given white people an unfair advantage and doesnt allow black people to have a fair chance. We dont get equal opportunities and our starting point is way way way more back than yours.

            We live states away. I just try to keep it cordial on rare occasion we see each other, but it’s mostly not a problem due to distance.

            Though of the wrong topic comes up we really get at it… lord help me if she ever finds out I’m actually a communist party member. Prolly disown me

                Nah, my sister is pretty radlib though which is pretty much “Marxist”, according to my mom.

      She’s right that it’s easier to blame others than to look in the mirror. We have to give her that.

      She just applies it to the wrong ground of people
