Sometimes the liberal brain worms have a partial failure. They don’t fail completely, which would lead to a breakdown of idealist tendencies, instead they hold it tighter to explain away the inconcsistencies just as a cult member who invested too much time and money might.

Thus, conspiratorial thinking occurs. Mind you, these one don’t actually have a lower standard of evidence than the average liberal, it’s all still headlines and insinuations with them. Except, by choosing just the right headlines, they see the enemies of the west as these monstrosity constructs, with got legs going in different directions, parts that are simultaneously withered away and function super efficiently, and a shitload of triple gears. When they tell you what they see, it’s clearly something that by all means can’t exist, not only does it not fit what you see, it also shouldn’t be functional.

I’ll refer you to all the “China will collapse in 100 days” and the ukrainian counteroffensive posting. It’s not about being right on specific events or dates, feeding into preconceived notions. The contradictions aren’t a deal breaker, they’re the salt and pepper of it all.

Gotta distract folks from actual swastikas used by AFU. Likewise with calling the Z-hand gesture (some of the soldiers been filmed making it) with a Nazi salute… While AFU soldiers were doing actual Nazi salute.

They don’t want people looking up why the Z symbology became used, so would rather say that it’s just Russia making half-swastikas. The reality is far more boring and doesn’t really help their narrative.

I like how they just treat Putin having cancer as a confirmed fact, and that predicating it makes them somehow more trustworthy as a commentator of the war. Even if he did, how is that remotely relevant.

It’s like saying “I was the first person to say that grass is actually a shade of magenta, so you should take what I have to say about geopolitics seriously”.
