    does the military give quick promotions or something? good benefits? why would someone take the first job?

      It should be said that the average rental price in the UK for a 1 bed is 1.2k a month - after tax this would easily eat up half your monthly income working this job.

      Its taken by people with literally no prospects or middle class houseowners who are radicalized and would do it for free/a pittance - both great fodder for the military.
