We need radical change to address climate change. But degrowth needlessly shackles its vision of a socialist future to a program of aggregate reduction.
Degrowth never made sense to me. Why hamstring the productive force of society precisely when we’re able to liberate it from the shackles of class struggle, allowing it to reach its full potential? Degrowth will lead to collapse, not redemption.
