    I’d like to think you’re right, but then so many Salon, Vice, even NYT articles have basically the exact same tone…

          Makes me wonder how functional literacy is spread. Since most read at a 6th grade level, what about the rest?

            Assuming normal distribution, half of who’s is left below 6th grade, half above.
