    I wonder if they sufficient air defense systems. Their air forces are basically nonexistent from what I recall

      They’re relying on the PLAF. Modernizing their Air Force would be too expensive and time consuming to do in a realistic timeline.

      It also fits with North Korea’s general long term air power strategy, as all their jets are Soviet models that were cheaper then developing their own.
