Their textbooks are also full of red scare propaganda. From the moment they are born they are bombed with red scare propaganda, its fairly hard to get out of that indoctrination.
Many also choose to pretend to believe it when though they know it’s not true because it gives licence to their hate.
A lot of people approach every new idea with a system of paranoias instead of critical thinking.
