    This is so true lmao and then in college we would mysteriously stop talking about philosophers after Hegel. Hmm I wonder why that would be?

      I found this in school too, they went straight from a lot of Hegel to a lot of Marx and Engels, with just a little Nietzsche and Freud crammed in at the end of the semester. When I asked why, they told me it was because Hegelianism and its descendents represented the main intellectual thrust of modernity. It was then that I realized my religious-affiliated school with its dress code was actually (gasp) – a secret North Korean training camp!
