IIRC Diogenes was an Epicurean, Marx did his doctoral thesis on Epicurus, so you can’t say the guy wasn’t to some degree influenced by Epicurus in his writings (btw the whole running around hedonistically is just ancient and feudal slander of the school, funny how that works…)
