Fact is once you become wealthy and famous and start to surround yourself with other wealthy and famous people sooner or later you start thinking and acting like them, regardless how well intentioned or principled you were before. You lose touch with the working masses because your lifestyle and your concerns are so far removed from theirs. What you would have once considered obscene, ostentatious displays of privilege become normalized for you.

Definitely agree, but this seems like a really misplaced argument here.

Do you think a person who earns 750k a year from their own labour and isn’t exploiting anyone in the process at all; is anywhere near the level of celebrities, politicians, and CEOs who make 750k (or more) in an hour or day, and exploit thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people to “make” “””their””” money?

What rich people does Hasan even associate with? Other streamers? Comedians? Who else does he bring on stream or hang out with? I’m not that sure Jeff Bezos would be really keen to hang out with him.

One of the reasons our party keeps insisting on making politicians earn (bearly above) minimum wage

As they should. If they can’t live off of it, then maybe they’ll be a bit more keen to raise the minimum.

They’re already getting the best healthcare for free, security, transportation stipends, and etc. The minimum should be more then enough for them.
