Said members split and formed the American Council of Bolsheviks. As the Party of Communists USA is essentially dead due to these shenanigans, is the new organization worth working with? And can anybody give any perspective about this whole controversy?

They were warning others of the fact that the PCUSA are feds and report other communists to federal authorities.
I don’t care what their politics are; that’s not a measure of whether or not they are credible.
Feds often call actual comrades feds. I wouldn’t call them a trustable source.

You haven’t presented any evidence. I’m not too committed in support of PCUSA, all I know is when people there have told me and at least multiple people there have backed it up and I can see their faces, unlike you. Present your evidence and I may be influenced, but all you’ve given me is heresay.
