    And it was obviously just Russian chauvinism and Putler’s warmongering that led to the conflicts!

    Reminded me of some Poles who blamed Russian nationalism for not being able to make Russia their vassal during times of troubles.

      Reminded me of some Poles who blamed Russian nationalism for not being able to make Russia their vassal during times of troubles.

      It’s even more idiotic than on the face value, because the top boyars were basically licking the boots of polish king Zygmunt already and offered crown to his son Władysław. Zygmunt refused, partially because the condition was that Władysław change religion to orthodox and Zygmunt was living and breathing catholic fanaticism, but mostly because he was really powerless there, doing good face for a bad game and was basically trying to ride the warlordic polish dukes who didn’t even wanted to conquer, they wanted to loot and pillage, so that entire polish ruling over Russia was a pipe dream from the start.
