The usage of na’vi and Shawshank are the most amusing here, imo. In Shawshank an innocent man suffered from the injustice of a cruel and uncaring system in USA. The very system this account propagates.

And na’vi were literally a native population fighting off a very clearly USA-themed expansionists, that cared for nothing but profit. Hell, the briefing room in the first Avatar had a big 52 in the corner of a striped window.

Star wars too, considering this is another proxy conflict, and the US is explicitly named as the inspiration for the empire.

NATO can have marvel and harry potter tho, idgaf.

and the US is explicitly named as the inspiration for the empire

Which is incredibly ironic, seeing how plenty of people seem convinced it was inspired by USSR

considering this is another proxy conflict

What is the relation between star wars and proxy wars?

All the US invasions of SE asia and elsewhere, were part of the cold war, and were really proxy conflicts between the US and USSR or US and China. The wars on Vietnam and Indonesia were in a large sense proxy wars against the USSR / China to prevent the spread and growth of the communism.

In star wars, the empire made war against lots of different planets, and colonized many, for even associating with the rebellion. Luke’s homeworld of tatooine and the ewok planet for instance were empire colonies. Tatooine just like Ukraine likely had a collaborationist government.

      Na’vi

I mean you’re right in principle, but if NATO soldiers really want to be left alone on some remote moon far away from any semblance of human contact, I say let them

But they should also follow the three laws of Eywa:

You shall not set stone upon stone. Neither shall you use the turning wheel. Nor use the metals of the ground

Re-checked, and it’s a 50. You know, like the 50 stars on that rag?
