Although… when the ‘odd scientist’ (actually thousands of them) warn about an extinction level event, it doesn’t mean much unless the state confirms it. Near one end of the scale is Covid. Near the other end is climate change. I’m using ‘state’ pretty loosely here to refer to organised capital / the organised ruling class.
True, however if it is a major issue, there is bound to be states that recognize it, even if it is only in their self interest. For example how Italy raised every alarm possible during the beginning of Covid since they were being overrun with lethal cases and soaring transmission, while everyone still thought Covid was just a bad flu.
What I meant is that for ALL states, organization, and groups to be silent would be a near impossible task. Especially if those groups dispise each other, making them conspiring even more unlikely.
