I remember them getting invited to BRICS but i didn’t get my hopes up since it was just an invitation. Now it is a reality, this is kind of a huge blow to US hegemony.

Basically yeah, with Saudis and Russia trading oil outside the dollar nobody is going to have to go through SWIFT to buy oil going forward.
