Whats the material benefit off doing this? Afaik, labour/energy/water is not cheap in Israel and thus everything else is more expensive. Ansar allah has shown that their shipping can be sabotaged too, so whats the catch here? Is the intel board just full of zionists and want a plant in a police/military state?

Likely they are getting a lot of subsidies from the US govt to legitimize that state, especially as it struggles to maintain economic, let alone political basis. To counteract BDS and Yemeni sanctions, they will just forcefully use our tax dollars and hand them to their colony.

It really has to be either that or a gesture from the American empire and/or bourgeoisie to both monetarily prop up their out-post as well as send a signal/message that they will NOT back down on Isn’trael and intend to fight to keep it open, occupied, and functioning as an apartheid ethno-state. Basically a doubling down gesture in defiance of all the push-back lately both for the benefit of the zionists to encourage them to not waver and a middle finger to the anti-zionist, pro-palestinian cause that they don’t care what we do.

Likely it will, a $25B plant takes time to build AND it’s not like it goes into the green day 1 of operation. Let alone where it’s located a lot can happen over the years.
