I don’t know if you know her anywhere outside of deviantart but there was an imgur album (that I can probably find again) – two, in fact – exposing her for being manipulative and downright deranged on discord.
Then one day she decided she was a communist and started going on communist discords and while not pulling the same shit there (to my knowledge, except I did talk her out of scamming someone on that bot that lets you talk to strangers on other servers once).
When she gets called out she does the “uwu I’m just misunderstood act” but get this, she doesn’t actually deny any of the screenshots. So we know the album is true.
And then people give her the benefit of the doubt because she says she’s a communist (never heard her actually talk about any communism but okay) and she swears she’s changed, despite never apologising or acknowledging her past. Just does the “oh yeah that was bad but look at it this way” and it magically excuses it.
Helps that she’s open about her ASPD, makes her trustworthy I guess. Except when you realise she does not deny the allegations of her manipulating people into depending on her, emotionally manipulating people by claiming she might have run over someone, scamming people for money, then, yeah, ASPD ain’t just a diagnosis anymore is it?
People that defend her are exactly where she wants them to be. There’s like 2-4 years worth of her online presence that you might not be aware of if you only know her art.

Her trying to scam someone was on MMTC and is not on the albums, because I was the only one that was there. She was using the bot to talk to someone and then gleefully said “maybe I can get them to send me money like I used to do, pretend to be suicidal or sick or something”. I talked her down and later on when confronting her, her defence was “but I didn’t do it in the end”.
So is the GZD discord still awful? I wanted to join but then put off doing the vetting process. But like if these people are tolerated I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t join.
As you might or might not know the GZD discord has been changed a few times. I was on several of the iterations except on the most recent one, but I was never a regular in any. Even with all the vetting, they were still plagued with the same issues that discord servers tend to have. Won’t get into specifics, but it’s almost as if Discord itself attracts a specific kind of people, no matter the ideology.
When the server changes happened, I didn’t get the memo until later on, and there’s this very odd tendency for the old gzd servers to become weird secret clubs unrelated to communism when a new one is made. I unknowingly was in the server modded by the bad actor mentioned above, and I saw the changes happen in real time. They were slow and at first the ML channels were still there, but the vibe started to change. Later on they made a huge “revamp” of the server and removed any ML reference from it. That’s when I learned about what the bad actor did, and I was so creeped out that I deleted my account and even had a sort of “faith crisis” about communism. It was fucked up, I felt deceived. Some time later I joined a new gzd server, if I’m correct it was the second to most recent one. However there were still some very abrasive individuals which I didn’t enjoy talking with. Very weird individuals. I had already stopped frequenting that server when I logged in again recently to see that yep, it had happened again. The server had been converted into a weird cult with no mention of communism. If that’s not suspicious, I don’t know what is. It’s almost as if someone is infiltrating communist spaces as they get big only to break them up later and maybe take some confused people with them.
I probably won’t join a communist discord server again due to the bad experiences I’ve had on them. It’s not a good format for productive conversation, anyway.
