It also has its uses in the various hybrid wars that the US has been waging across the world funding ISIS and Al Qaeda, though that doesn’t seem to have quite panned out the way they were hoping at least in Iraq and Syria, and it backfired on them in Afghanistan. Other than that, i’m not sure. On this topic it is worth reading what Lenin had to say about the Narodniks and Anarchists who in the late 19th century adopted a strategy of “propaganda of the deed”. Suffice to say it didn’t work out.
