    Going to a “shut it down” protest on Thursday outside my city hall, seems like it will be pretty big. Tons of people walking out of work and school.

    Hearing talks of tax strikes/boycotts. Nothing too organized yet, but it’s interesting to hear that sentiment. I think this could be the beginning of something

      There’s a reason Shawn Fain is telling everyone to get ready for a full general strike in 5 years - we need to building power now to get there, but if we build fast enough, it’ll happen way sooner

        Oh fuck yes. I hate seeing the talk of general strike crop up in social media 99% of the time because it is always just frustrated radlibs with no material analysis or organizing strategy making empty (if well intentioned) demands from a workforce they do not fundamentally understand.

        Now when Shawn Fain starts talking about a “5 year plan” ( lenin-shining ) to prepare for a general strike you have my full fucking attention.
