    Tht piece is so funny:

    There is mounting evidence that after heavy losses of manpower that may reach tens of thousands, the Kremlin is deploying untrained convicts who have been lured to the front line by the promises of amnesty and payments.

    And nothing is linked or even cited. Meanwhile we have evidence of Kiev arming prisoners.

    The the article then laments the unecessary deaths because of lacking infrastructure. But then mentions how the people who worked with the russians to keep everything going will now face punishment. “Oh you saved a shitload of lives? Let me kill you for it.”

      My former classmate, who fought in Ukraine, told me that the volunteers were promised large payments, even more than he, a contract soldier, received as a salary, but he also said that most of the volunteers here fought not for money, but rather for ideological purposes.
