Context: The post was about how Tiktok was promoting minors sexualizing themselves for men and grooming them for sex work and etc (which I completely agree with). There was a sinophobic comment on the post though for no god damn reason. Everything that’s related to China somehow has an evil plot to it and how they’re trying to sabotage the west. This is yellow peril in the 21st century, and this is a horrific thing to promote. If circumstances were different and ripe, they would be thinking that Jews or other POC are responsible for societies’ woes.
Someone want to remind them that Western TikTok is entirely hosted on Western servers and almost completely moderated by Western admins? Shockingly, I’ve never heard any allegations of child sexualisation in “heavily cencered by the CCCCPPPP” Chinese Tiktok, huh, maybe censorship makes sense for some stuff?
