Context: The post was about how Tiktok was promoting minors sexualizing themselves for men and grooming them for sex work and etc (which I completely agree with). There was a sinophobic comment on the post though for no god damn reason. Everything that’s related to China somehow has an evil plot to it and how they’re trying to sabotage the west. This is yellow peril in the 21st century, and this is a horrific thing to promote. If circumstances were different and ripe, they would be thinking that Jews or other POC are responsible for societies’ woes.
You know, for a userbase that loves to brag about being atheistic they sure do have a quasi-religious reverence for China. They see the CCP as this Devil figure that’s responsible for everything evil that goes on here in the states.
