TikTok will open a new data centre in Ireland to fight against the accusations of spying for the Chinese government.

The anti-chinese propaganda is continuing and the media always tryies to put everything chinese under a bad light. All of this done with the trope of “national security risks”. I don’t like social media, be it TikTok, Facebook or Twitter, for how it is built and all the privacy concerns but all of the problems the media has with TikTok is because it is chinese. What do you think about all of this?

Not surprised its Dublin, lots of tech companies moved there. Fairly cheap real estate and a lot of tax breaks, probably influenced the decision more. The PR of being able to say things like this probably just icing on the cake.
