Brazil. While I already leaned Left since a young age, two events finally tipped me over to Communism:
1 - My aunt married a Russian who talked about the USSR a lot;
2 - I spent an entire year (2013) unemployed and literally had to look for food on the garbage sometimes. And all the while, I knew there were people five minutes from my shack that were even worse off than me. That pretty much made me grow an immense resentment of the capitalist system and those who support it.
