Given my observations of him and other eastern Europeans of that his generation, I think it is normal, it’s a learned behaviour from his surroundings. Of course there are probably a bunch of paid pro-imperialist shills around in these online spaces but he doesn’t come off as one to me, even with all the mindnumbingly stupid things he’s said in the last three months especially. I think it’s more just the anti-communist esthetic that so many millennial and Gen z eastern European men take on. It’s not an educated stance, it’s not a principled stance, it’s just how you fit in to your social circles.
