Hahahahha me too, and to Evangelicals, while also being proletized by them, and then having heated discussions that were super idiotic, like: “my religion is the real one™ because I feel so!” “Well I feel it more!!”
That’s… Basically what is watching two religious people debating who has the “truest” belief in how to read the Bible.
The Mormons were an interesting group to proselytize because they always want to talk. They are so busy worrying about how to get a religious conversation going that they can be blind sided. Even at the temple, where me and my mentor would challenge elders there was not nearly as much push back as you might expect. In fact elders would have to come get the more green types because they were getting worn down and saying stuff that isnt very LDS.
I feel gross looking back on those days lmao i think i probably thought of myself as Paul openly debating the Greeks or some cringe nonsense.
Lmao. My cult was more like being reinforced with “wholesome”, “loving”, “cheering” conversations about how everything is about love and how we need strength to keep faith and help others im need… But you know…
Religious language is not real language, and as someone said, "there’s no hate like Christian love.
So you can imagine what kind of" Caleb and Sophia" life I had inside.
And of course: “Exposing a good argument is just saying what the publications say, and that’s it. If they make you think, just scream” it’s a metaphor “,” it’s context “,” you have no evidence that this didn’t happen", and “nooooo you can’t destroy my religion by destroying fundamental pillars of the narrative noooo”, etc".
Hello! Im ex coc (church of christ)

No but they are kind of similar in a few ways. I proselytized to Mormons back in the day believe it or not.
