Michigan’s juvenile justice system is archaic. Counties act with little oversight, and the state keeps such poor data it doesn’t know how many juveniles it has in custody or what happens to them once…
Back in my day, we were just smacked if we didn’t do the right thing. Nobody called the cops on some kid because they did something stupid.
They were just disciplined on the spot. A good smack or a whooping if it was called for.
But since parents can’t or don’t even lift a finger these days, this is what the world gets. Now we have legal systems arresting kids for not doing homework or stealing a pencil. LOL
Does anyone not see how ridiculous this is?

Well, it happened to all of us. It was normal when we were growing up.
Times have changed now.
The thing is you don’t need to hit or incarcerate children to discipline them. It’s not an either-or situation.
