Ok so r/communism will get ban or quanrantined eventually that for certin because the reddit are mostly anti communist. So when this will happen there will probably a big ‘‘migration’’ of sort so first we need to be ready , second we need to stay because even if our community is small it is realy nice and I think is the key to keep large communist community alive. So whare are your thought on that ? Do you think there are anymore things that I did not write about ? If yes please say it ! Thanks in advance and sorry for the english !

    I’m interested to see if this site can handle a large number of members. There are certain planning and infrastructure that nees to be sorted out for it to function properly. I have doubts the current admin team would be able to keep up with the vast flood of content that would come with that, but, that is to be seen I guess.

    The Quar is coming eventually, of r/communism and potentially the entire reddit left, and we just kinda have to wait for it to happen. I’m mostly just hoping it’s later rather than sooner, a membership flood like that rn would not be wonderful on the mental health of our mods.

      From a technical perspective I dont expect any problems, Lemmy is written in Rust and is really lightweight, it also doesnt use a lot of bandwidth or disk space. Only problem might be if someone decides to DDoS us.

      But moderation will definitely become even harder than it already is, hopefully we can get some more mods as well once more users come. And we need to write up the rules :D

      Yea like I said we are a small community and you the mods are even less but yea focus on your mental health first and take some breaks from times to time and I heard sport is great for that so work out so you will be fit during the revolution :D

      Same, I really hope it can. Once we get past 20 or so active users and a lot of posts per day, it’ll be the real test.

        At that point, it might be worthwhile to start a campaign to boost community mod participation. Though, I don’t know what that would look like.
