I think several of them got permabanned, most importantly u/RedstarXtreme who was the head moderator who kicked out the lib mods who put out that cringe “we were spreading russian disinformation” statement and then put out the based “long live communism and Z, fuck you Reddit” statement. I think the current mods chose their reddit accounts over their principles sadly.

thanks. baffled that it is still up. The top comment is the mod currently in control of the sub. And judging from other comments kicked redstar off the discord? Is that correct, is discord a good place or more like the reddit sub? I havnt been before but was thinking of joining as i left the sub.
I’m not on the Discord, but there have been a couple threads about it here and on Hexbear. Discord followed in Reddit’s wake, accusing the community of ‘spreading misinformation’ and threatening to take disciplinary action if the mods don’t do anything about it.
Both spaces live on the whims of their US domiciled corporate owners. They both will follow the same trajectory of moderators stepping up to “save” the communities by doing Silicon Valley’s dirty work. I won’t cast any judgement about the moderators because I don’ t know them and they’re in an impossible position, but I wouldn’t count on these places retaining the character they have become known for.
