Reddit quarantined (and might soon ban) the most active communist subreddit, and one of the very few non-western-supremacist ones left.
We’ve gotten dozens of new applications, and are approving them as quickly as we can.

I’m so glad I found this community on lemmy! Seriously, gzd was my favorite sub and to see it get quarantined and likely banned soon made me tear up a bit ngl. I’ve never felt more at home in a group and I love how people here actively call out racism and is just generally one of the few sane places on Reddit. To see it go is just tragic. Well, at least now I don’t have any reason to use that trash app :)
Same, there are so few good subreddits left. Even my favorite TV show meme subreddits, and even left-“ish” ones, are completely filled with russophobia and sinophobia now.
