Let’s put that to the test, shall we?

WWI: ~40 million casualties, 15 to 22 million deaths. A few countries invaded all of Europe, parts of Africa and the Middle East, among other places. War crimes including killing civilians and chemical warfare.

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

WWII: ~70–85 million dead. A few countries invaded all of Europe, most of East Asia, parts of Africa and the Middle East, among other places. Confirmed genocide of Jews, Slavs, Chinese, Africans, etc in a series of attempted ethnic exterminations. First, second, and so far only uses of nuclear weapons in combat. War crimes including killing civilians (both through organized genocide and the regular war crime way), chemical and biological warfare, killing of POWs, and you know, genocide.

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

Vietnam War: Over 1 million dead including ~405,000 civilian deaths. The most militarily powerful country in the world invading a much weaker country across the ocean with the express intent of destroying a people-led socialist government. US war crimes including killing civilians, chemical and biological warfare.

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

US-led coups in various countries: Illegal under international law. US meddling in foreign countries leading to the successful destruction of legitimate democratic and often socialist governments, installation of puppet states. For the express purpose of the destruction of socialism and/or for strengthening/maintaining US political and economic exploitation of those countries.

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

Iraq War: Estimates range from ~151,000 deaths to ~1,033,000 deaths. The most militarily powerful country in the world invading a much weaker country across the ocean based on false intel. Successful destruction of Iraqi government and execution of Iraqi head of state. US war crimes.

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

Invasion of Afghanistan: ~12 thousand deaths. The most militarily powerful country in the world invading a much weaker country across the ocean as revenge for a terrorist attack (which was not carried out nor authorized by any government or military, Taliban included). US war crimes, use of drone warfare.

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

NATO bombing of Yugoslavia: ~1 thousand deaths according to Serbia, including civilian deaths. NATO war crimes. Chinese embassy bombed resulting in the deaths of 3 Chinese citizens (also NATO war crime).

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

All the other goddamn wars, invasions, etc the US and co. have instigated. I’d be here all day if I listed them all.

Switzerland: Meh, I’ll be neutral.

Invasion of Ukraine: Basically impossible to get a straight answer of the running death toll. The highest estimate I found (unsure of validity) was 11 thousand Russian soldier deaths. No idea on civilian or Ukrainian military casualties but certainly much fewer. A fairly militarily powerful country invades a country that directly borders it. Ukraine and maybe Russian war crimes (it’s basically impossible tell because the reporting is such a shitshow).

Switzerland: WHAT?! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! THEY’VE CROSSED THE LINE THIS TIME! TO HELL WITH NEUTRALITY, WE WON’T STAND BY AND WATCH THIS CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY HAPPEN!

It’s probably the US pressuring them. This is an economic war between the US and Russia. The US will revitalize it’s economy with expensive exports to the EU.

It’s the EU pressuring Switzerland. Due to their position as a non-EU landlocked country, bordered only by EU members (especially Germany and France, the two powers of the EU), Switzerland feels obligated to follow everything the EU decides, though usually by enacting their own laws rather than adopting EU regulations (allowing them to pull out of them). The EU is only a proxy of US power, but we see the nests of imperialism.

Maybe, but the sanctions against Russia only benefit the US. I mean, Germany isn’t even going to follow a lot of them. I also feel a lot of these sanctions are just for show.
