He once got into a debate with members of Rizzo’s party (including Rizzo himself) when he was invited on their livestream and basically agreed on everything except Stalin, if I remember correctly.
Seeing the past party drama the PC has gone through, Rizzo basically leading the party alone and silencing any dissent, and the direction that the PC is taking currently, now allying openly with Sgarbi, Paragone and other various reactionaries and anti vaxxers, I could see that them being the only (major) openly Stalinist force could have turned him off in these past few years.

I have two antivax parents, and I believed until like 2016. They have a bookshelf full of David Icke and more crazy. It took me a year to sort out my politics, and reading theory finalized this process.
Atleast, they drilled anti-imperialism and doubting the government into me from a young age (their twisted version, but I was able to fix it later, and it greatly helped with transition to Marxism. For this I am grateful). Once I decoupled from their propaganda I quickly realized it was all made up, and fixed my media intake. The Internet can do both a lot of good, and a lot of bad.

Even subs like Qult Headquarters, which I used to browse frequently, and which I thought would have been better prepared to identify the same cult-like behaviour, has been overrun by idiots blaming everything on Russia. I’m disapppinted, but I can’t say I’m surprised…
I knew there were many Maoists with cringe takes on there, but there are usually also many pro-AES posts and comments. I mostly moved over to browsing GenZedong once it took off, and Sino before that. Did anything happen recently?

Damn, I went to the website of the organization doing the survey, and it says that out of 2000 French people polled. 1/3 believe in conspiracies, I knew it would have been high but not this much, I expected like 15% at most. Here in Italy I don’t have statistics but we are also being overwhelmed by the conspiracists since nobody is doing anything to repress them.
I couldn’t agree more, it pains me to see this kind of thinking run rampant even among ‘environmentalists’, ‘greens’ and such. We’re not going to cover the entire Sahara in solar panels or turbines anytime soon, so I think nuclear is a far better solution. (and let’s not even talk about all the ‘gravity batteries’ and other bullshit all the Musk fanboys and imitators are pushing now)
Hard to say in retrospect, it’s a bit of a blur. I was a ‘radical’ socdem pretty much my entire childhood, with heavy anti-corporate and anti-EU/US sentiment from my parents. Now they are rabid antivax nutcases due to 10 years of self inflicted brainwashing but that’s for another story. I’m very glad I jumped on the ML train when I did or I would probably be a conspiracy nut myself right now. My grandpa was in the Communist party in the cold war and had probably the biggest political influence on me out of my whole family. I already held several marxist positions before even reading theory, then around 2016 I started to browse r/FULLCOMMUNISM, then I read some Marx and Lenin and it clicked, and I haven’t looked back since. Last major change was from anti China to pro China like 3 or 4 years ago, it kinda happened naturally once I started browsing more leftist spaces. Nice to be here with you all, comrades.
