It’s so clear when reading BBC that it’s almost comedic.

I used to tell people that building a PC is easy after I built my first.

Since then I’ve built a few more and helped friends with a bunch and now I don’t tell people that.

With no experience it’s confusing and intimidating. There are enough moving parts that a problem/mistake can be very hard to diagnose.

The typical leftist of this variety expects perfection (despite doing nothing to build socialism.) Any benefit Assad brought to Syria is irrelevant. The damage caused is irrelevant. They are just glad there is a chance for the perfect revolution to come about.

These are the sorts that celebrated the fall of the Soviet Union because it made room for something “better”.

People want you here. Even most of these shitheads you’ve had to deal with I’d bet. As individuals they don’t see how they can make positive change.

I’ve been working in food service. When the opportunity has arisen I’ve been able to give food to people who have no means to pay. If I had a family or valued my own wellbeing a little more I wouldn’t do this because I am certain it threatens my employment. We’ve got a system that puppets good people into being monsters and I hate it.

So again, people want you here and I hope I made a coherent point.

If fascism is capitalism in crisis then communism is the crisis it was responding to the first time. Organized workers fundamentally threatened capitalism.

I don’t agree that it is fighting communism this time. More likely it’s reaching the limits of the infinite growth that it requires. Local markets are becoming increasingly anemic and distant ones are either already exploited or are pushing back against foreign capital.

Capitalism threatens itself and fascism is it’s last gasp.

The author seems to lack any critical thinking skills or relevant historical knowledge and simply possesses a starry eyed trust in institutions (except the ICC apparently).

People like that need to exist so that it’s clear how tight those boundaries are.
