Our entire news apparatus is united against China, etc. The CBC just released some more anti-Syria and anti-Russia shit the other day when a Syrian diplomat died. They cant help but to push “foreign interference into out democracies” at every point. The typical Canadian believes all of these things, I’d say, at least 50%.

CBC is the textbook example of liberalism I can think of. Once you see it, it’s more blatantly obvious how ghoulish they are hiding behind a progressive mask. Like they’ll waste money on useless* anti-racism vids, and then propagate shit against Muslims, Chinese, Russians under the guise of intelligent geopolitics, featuring some Cambridge or UofT ghoul.
*Not that their vids are bad, like spotlights of racism in Canada, but the effect is so negligible when they do nothing about them and in fact encourage such behaviour by releasing horseshit like this. Why do they act surprised about an increase in anti-Asian attacks? Could it be because they’re pedaling racist bullshit about COVID and China? Exaggerate the “backwardness” of Chinese but deliver it through the mouthpiece of some useless tenured faculty in a useless department like poli-sci or IR to legitimize Orientalism? Western politicians are such fkn babies. China is Canada’s 2nd biggest trading partner… no one is forcing CA to do that importing and de-industrializing of their domestic industry. That ship has sailed and no amount of whining is going to change it. China just has to grit its teeth for the betterment of both country’s people, and ignore the buffoonery from all western leaders, even though their sinophobic rhetoric is causing and going to cause a lot more hate crimes againts ppl of Asian descent.
