Currently restoring my home folder backup, prolly gonna rice my GNOME to look like windows 7 (ironic huh, my debian 12 rice was windows 10 themed but my debian 13 rice will be windows 7 themed)
debian is a classic, but i moved to devuan bc of the systemd drama
look like win7
why tho? just install a simple theme to get the feel
i can’t believe i found a linux user these days who doesn’t use systemd. if it’s not weird to ask, when did you switch to devuan and why do you prefer its init? why not go with bsd?
i was using mint (don’t hit me) in my first attempt for a year or something, but after reading about controversies about systemd, i thought that i’d use something different. one computer in my home one pc uses devuan and another uses mx
do you have anything against systemd in particular?
i mean, i’ve heard things about the fragility of the systemd, the centralization of booting, and lots of stuff implemented mostly with some type of risk of enshittification for linux, and i don’t want that crap. i feel bad for kylin, deepin and the chinese SO but systemd looks risky for me
i see. thanks for responding!
