    I’m not saying they wouldn’t do it, i’m saying they wouldn’t do it now to someone who doesn’t even play any role in the regime anymore. It would be a waste of resources to do something that in no way helps them to speed up finishing this conflict. Why wouldn’t they go after more high value targets, someone who actually plays a role in the conflict?

    Prigo was different because he still posed an imminent danger, and imo it’s still unclear what exactly happened there.

    My intuition says if they were to go after people like this guy they would wait until after the war is over, then they have enough time and resources to bring escaped war criminals and Nazis to justice. And with how obsessively legalistic Russia is they would probably make a point of charging and sentencing them in absentia first. It’s ok if you disagree, we’re all just speculating.
