There’s a good quote by Parenti, where he says (referring to capitalists) “even if you don’t know what they’re doing, they do”. Ultras and anarchists parroting propo pushed by mike pence and pompeo without a shred of reflection.
I’ve never heard that quote but reminiscent in its succinct nature of the way zizek flips the quote from Marx in capital to describe ideology: They do not know it, but they do it I think this is so true in the case of the Ughir propaganda which I first accepted at face value until I did more research, it’s not easy to do! I can’t claim some kind of intellectual high ground here, but sometimes memes really do capture that kernel of truth embedded in a 5000 word essay.
